FAQs

Q: Are you available to play our service this weekend?

A: Please contact Terra Fermata music. Note availability for weekend services typically fills up 4 weeks in advance, or further in advance for major Holy Days.

Q: Are you available to play my wedding?

A: Please contact Terra Fermata Music for availability. Note that if your ceremony will take place in a church, it is common etiquette to first offer music services to the music director or equivalent.

Q: Are you available to play a funeral or memorial service this week?

A: Please contact Terra Fermata Music for availability. Typically, our availability on weekdays is more open than that on weekends.

Q: I have very specific ideas for music for my wedding. Will that be a problem?

A: No! Terra Fermata requires a meeting with couples to go over their music requests before a wedding and to ensure we can fulfill your vision. Please know that if you are getting married in a Catholic church, there are specific requirements for wedding music.

Q: I have no idea what I want for the music for my wedding. Will that be a problem?

A: No! With experience at over 250 weddings, Terra Fermata music is well prepared to help guide you through all music decisions related to your big day!

Q: My aunt wants to sing at my wedding / We already have a cantor but no organist / Can you work with other musicians?

A: Yes. We are happy to work with other musicians. For weddings and other special events, we request at least one, but typically more, rehearsals prior to the wedding day. A pre-service rehearsal is sufficient for church service cantors.

Q. Are you able to play in secular venues, such as hotel ballrooms, farms, barns, event centers, and convention centers?

A. Absolutely. Terra Fermata Music has portable keyboards and sound systems that have been used in both intimate and large settings.
